
AIU Vice-Chancellor Shares AIU’s Social Entrepreneurship Vision at COMPASSION International @ APUCEN

ALOR SETAR, 6 January 2026 – Albukhary International University (AIU) was represented by its Vice-Chancellor and President, Prof. Dato’ Ir. Dr. Mohd Saleh Jaafar at COMPASSION International @ APUCEN, held in conjunction with the COMPASSION Summit 2025 at AC Hotel by Marriott Penang on 16 December 2025.
Organised by the Asia-Pacific University–Community Engagement Network (APUCEN), the programme gathered universities across the Asia-Pacific region to strengthen regional collaboration in community engagement, sustainability, and compassion-driven initiatives.
During the morning session, Prof. Dato’ Ir. Dr. Mohd Saleh delivered a presentation titled Developing Social Entrepreneurship at Albukhary International University, where he shared AIU’s approach in integrating social entrepreneurship into higher education. His session highlighted AIU’s commitment to nurturing purpose-driven graduates, empowering communities through innovation, and translating academic knowledge into sustainable social impact.
The participation reflects AIU’s active role within APUCEN and its alignment with regional efforts to advance inclusive, scalable, and impactful community engagement initiatives across borders.
