AIU Joins Global Peacebuilding Dialogue at UN Headquarters, Geneva

ALOR SETAR, 31 December 2025 – Albukhary International University lecturer, Associate Professor Dr. Ayesah Uy Abubakar joined the 3rd UN-CSO Peacebuilding Dialogue held at Palais des Nations, Geneva, Switzerland on December 10-11. She represented the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC)-Southeast Asia Network. The two-day meeting gathered over 200 civil society leaders from all around the world to provide policy recommendations on the peacebuilding
architecture of the UN as well as learn best practices and stories from peacebuilders on creating more impact on the ground.

In preparation for the meeting, Dr. Ayesah also participated in discussions and workshops with fellow GPPAC members, which were hosted at the Interpeace Headquarters in Geneva from December 8–9. GPPAC and Interpeace are among the organizations that initiated the UN-CSO Peacebuilding Dialogue. This platform is designed to institutionalize the UN’s engagement with the
peacebuilding community.
