AIU Hosts an Inspiring Public Lecture Series with Sonny Bill Williams
ALOR SETAR, 30 December 2025 — Albukhary International University (AIU) successfully hosted the 9th edition of its Public Lecture Series, featuring world-renowned athlete and AIU Pro-Chancellor, Mr. Sonny Bill Williams, on 12 December 2025 at the AIU Convocation Hall.
Titled “Beyond the Game: Giving Back and Building a Better World,” the session brought together students, educators, and members of the public for an inspiring dialogue on purpose, service, and leadership. Drawing from his journey in rugby, boxing, and humanitarian work, Mr. Williams shared powerful reflections on empathy, resilience, and the responsibility to uplift others.
The programme attracted 967 participants, creating a vibrant atmosphere of learning and reflection. The session opened with welcoming remarks by the AIU Vice-Chancellor and concluded with an engaging Q&A and a souvenir presentation, marking another impactful milestone in AIU’s commitment to nurturing values-driven global citizens.
