AIU Strengthens Alumni Engagement Through Alumni Countdown Series

ALOR SETAR, 1 January 2026 — The Centre for Student Affairs and Alumni (CSAA), through its Alumni Unit, successfully organised the Alumni Countdown Series in conjunction with AIU’s 6th Convocation, reinforcing the University’s commitment to lifelong alumni engagement and graduate support.

One of the key highlights was the Alumni Wish Cards initiative, where alumni shared words of encouragement and motivation with graduating students. Displayed at the Alumni Corner@Convocation, the messages offered inspiration and reassurance as graduates prepared to embark on their professional journeys.

The programme also featured the Special Alumni Talk Series held on 11 and 12 December 2025 in collaboration with international student associations. The first session, organised with the AIU Myanmar Students Association (AMSA), combined light sharing sessions with the presentation of convocation sashes to graduating students. The second session, held with Persatuan Pelajar Indonesia (PPI), featured alumni speakers Bintang Astiana, Hendri Saputra, and Syaif Shobri, who shared insights on early career experiences and workplace realities.

Both sessions also marked the officiation of the respective Alumni Chapters, strengthening structured alumni engagement within the AIU community.

The Alumni Corner@Convocation further served as a vibrant space for reconnection, featuring alumni showcases, the soft launch of the Alumni Volunteer Squad, and updates on the SKPG 2.0 system. The initiative fostered meaningful interaction between alumni and graduates, reinforcing a strong sense of belonging and continuity.

Through the Alumni Countdown Series, AIU reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing lifelong connections, empowering graduates, and strengthening its alumni ecosystem.
