Inspection Visit From The Personal Data Protection (PDP) Department

26 April 2021 – Pesuruhjaya Perlindungan Data Peribadi Malaysia conducted an inspection of the personal data system at Albukhary International University. The event started with welcoming remarks by YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Abd Aziz Tajuddin, Vice-Chancellor and President of AIU, continue the welcoming address by YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Mohd. Hafiz Yusoff Registrar of AIU, will begin briefing on Personal Data System (Personal Data Protection Act 2010) by Mr. Mazmalek bin Mohamad, Director General, Personal Data Protection
Department. After the briefing session, they went for a campus tour and visited departments as scheduled.

This inspection aims to ensure that all personal data processing and record-keeping in all departments is made according to the Personal Data Protection Act 2010. The policy from various departments is presented, and the response report by the PDPA team will be sent to AIU later. Also, the top management and staff from AIU and Personal Data Protection’s team present on the day.
