ALOR SETAR, 23 February 2026 – Third Year Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECE) students from the School of Education and Human Sciences (SEHS) implemented a collaborative socio-emotional learning programme with Little Caliphs Titi Gajah on 19 January 2026 as part of their professional preparation and course integration.
Focusing on six-year-old children, the programme provided meaningful teaching experience in an authentic kindergarten setting. Students designed and facilitated structured, play-based activities that encouraged emotional expression, positive peer interaction, confidence, and cooperative behaviour while ensuring every child participated meaningfully.
Throughout the planning and implementation process, students prepared timelines, organised materials, assigned roles, and anticipated classroom responses, strengthening their organisational, leadership, classroom management, and decision-making skills. Activities such as morning circle check-ins and treasure hunt learning stations fostered collaboration and active engagement in a supportive learning environment.
The programme was supervised by Madam Faeizaratul Fazeila Isa, Lecturer at SEHS, who guided students in embedding clear socio-emotional objectives while maintaining developmentally appropriate practices. The collaboration enhanced professional readiness prior to practicum while supporting children’s socio-emotional growth.
