AIU SCI Celebrates Student Excellence at SCI Professional Certificate Award 2025

ALOR SETAR, 24 December 2025 – The School of Computing and Informatics (SCI), Albukhary International University (AIU), successfully hosted the SCI Professional Certificate Award 2025 on 10 December 2025 at the AIU Auditorium, recognising students who achieved industry-recognised professional certifications in computing-related fields.

The ceremony honoured students who demonstrated strong commitment to professional development in areas such as programming, networking, cybersecurity, software engineering, and data science, reflecting SCI’s dedication to producing industry-ready graduates.

Associate Professor Dr. Basheer Riskhan, Dean of SCI, congratulated the recipients and highlighted the importance of professional certifications in complementing academic learning. The event was graced by Professor Dato’ Ir. Dr. Mohd Saleh Bin Jaafar, Vice-Chancellor and President of AIU, and Professor Dr. Hj. Mohamad Abdullah Bin Hemdi, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), who encouraged students to continue striving for excellence, innovation, and ethical leadership.

A virtual sharing by Mr. A. Melcose, an AI and Data Science professional based in the United States, provided insights into emerging technology trends and global employability. The programme also featured remarks from industry partner Mr. Govindarajan Shanmugam, PCEP/PCAP Tutor from India, who shared his experience working with SCI students.

Certificates were presented by AIU management, marking students’ readiness to contribute meaningfully to industry and society. The event reaffirmed SCI’s mission of integrating academic excellence with industry relevance and values-driven education.
