ALOR SETAR, 4 December 2025 – Albukhary International University (AIU) officially launched the Hult Prize 2025/26 journey through the AIU Open Hult, held on 2 December 2025 at LT5. The engagement event introduced students to the world’s largest student entrepreneurship competition and prepared them for the upcoming On-Campus Program. The session welcomed students, committee members, university leaders, and past Hult Prize representatives.
The programme began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a Quran recitation, followed by welcoming remarks from the Campus Director, Maryam Hussaina, who highlighted the Hult Prize’s mission of transforming student ideas into impactful social startups capable of competing for USD 1 million.
AIU’s Vice Chancellor then addressed the audience, reinforcing the university’s dedication to innovation, social impact, and student-driven leadership. This was followed by speeches from the Advisor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Basheer Riskan, and former Campus Director, Pyae Son Kyaw, who shared valuable insights on navigating the Hult Prize journey—from idea generation to pitching at higher competition stages.
A short performance added a creative touch before the session moved into a comprehensive briefing on the global theme, competition route, expectations, and success strategies for AIU teams.
The event concluded with closing remarks and a group photo, officially marking the start of the Hult Prize 2025/26 movement at AIU. The organising team now encourages students to register, form teams, refine ideas, and compete with determination at both national and global levels.
