ALOR SETAR, 1 December 2025 – On 21 November 2025, The Finance Students’ Society (BFIF) of Albukhary International University (AIU) successfully organised the BFIF Engagement: Welcome and Launch Ceremony, a programme aimed at introducing the society, strengthening early student connections, and preparing new members for an active and collaborative semester. Held at the AIU Auditorium, the event gathered new students, seniors, lecturers, and academic leaders from the School of Business and Social Sciences (SBSS).
The ceremony opened with a welcoming speech by the Society President, Dior Ismail, who emphasised BFIF’s role in nurturing a knowledgeable, ethical, and industry-ready student community. Madam Arfah Abdul Sabian, BFIF Society Advisor, followed with remarks on the importance of student participation, leadership development, and academic excellence. Mr. Mokhlis Bin Ahmad Fuad, Head of Programme and Deputy Dean of SBSS, also shared insights on the growing significance of finance professionals in today’s evolving financial landscape and the importance of strong leadership competencies.
The official launch of the society was marked by an oath-taking ceremony, solidifying the beginning of a new leadership term. Committee members were introduced, each presenting their portfolios and responsibilities. The engagement later continued with ice-breaking sessions and interactive games designed to build teamwork, encourage communication, and strengthen friendships among members.
The event concluded with a prize-giving ceremony, closing remarks, and a final photo session to commemorate the occasion. The BFIF Society looks forward to delivering more impactful academic, social, and professional development activities throughout the semester.
