
Empowering Minds: AIU CFGS Hosts Workshop on Critical Thinking in the AI Era

ALOR SETAR, 4 November 2025 – On Friday, 24 October 2025, the Centre for Foundation and General Studies (CFGS) at Albukhary International University (AIU) organized a thought-provoking session titled “Thinking Critically in the Age of AI” as part of the CFGS Foundation Learning Series.
The session, led by Mdm. Alia Hanim Zainal Abidin, Director of CFGS, was held at Lecture Theatre 6 and drew enthusiastic participation from students eager to explore the evolving role of artificial intelligence in shaping critical thinking and decision-making.
Mdm. Alia shared insightful perspectives on how AI challenges traditional thought processes and emphasized the need to strengthen critical thinking skills to navigate the AI-driven era. Students actively engaged in discussions on the impact of AI on education, society, and personal growth.
The session was part of the FLG113 Thinking Skills Course, instructed by Ms. Farah Nadiah Abdul Kudus, designed to inspire students to apply critical thinking in their studies and daily lives, especially when engaging with emerging technologies.
