AIU SEHS Organizes Inaugural Family Day to Strengthen Community Bonds
ALOR SETAR, 3 November 2025 – The School of Education and Human Sciences (SEHS) at Albukhary International University (AIU) successfully organized its first-ever Family Day at the university’s lakeside basketball court on 1 November 2025, bringing together students, lecturers, and staff for a day filled with recreation, wellness, and community spirit.
The program was officiated by Professor Dr. Abdul Malek Abdul Karim, Dean of SEHS, who expressed appreciation to all participants and emphasized that the event marks the beginning of a meaningful tradition to strengthen unity and a sense of belonging within the SEHS community.
The day began with an energetic Zumba session, followed by various traditional and team-based games that encouraged teamwork, collaboration, and cultural appreciation. Winners received hampers as tokens of recognition, while lecturers contributed potluck dishes, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere.
The initiative brought together students from the Bachelor of Media and Communication (BMC), Bachelor of English Education (BEE), and Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECE) programmes, fostering closer relationships among peers and academic staff beyond the classroom.
Reflecting AIU’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity, the event highlighted SEHS’s dedication to promoting well-being, holistic development, and community connection among its members.
