AIU Lecturer Receives Certificate of Authorisation to Teach Islamic Studies from the State of Perak

ALOR SETAR, 9 October 2025 – Albukhary International University (AIU) extends its heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Abdul Wafi bin Samsulrijal, Lecturer at the School of Business and Social Sciences (SBSS), on being conferred the Certificate of Authorisation to Teach (Islamic Studies) by the State of Perak.

The conferment took place during the Muqabalah Mahabbah and Conferment Ceremony of Teaching Authorisation (Agama Islam) 2025 (Series 2), held on 29 September 2025 at Dewan Al-Ghazali, Kompleks Islam Darul Ridzuan. The ceremony was officiated by Sahibus Samahah Dato’ Seri Haji Wan Zahidi bin Wan Teh, Mufti of Perak Darul Ridzuan.

This recognition places Mr. Abdul Wafi among a distinguished group of 65 esteemed scholars, comprising both local and international recipients, acknowledged for their contributions to Islamic education. Notable among them were Sahibus Samahah Dato’ Mufti of Pahang, Asemadi, and Dato’ Ashraff Hashim, Chairman of the Shariah Advisory Council of Bank Negara Malaysia.

Mr. Abdul Wafi expressed his appreciation for the honour, stating that the recognition serves as a meaningful affirmation of his commitment to advancing Islamic scholarship and education.
