
AIU Vice Chancellor officiates UGREAT 2025 Closing Ceremony

ALOR SETAR, 10 October 2025 – Albukhary International University (AIU) held the closing ceremony of the UGREAT 2025 Programme, officiated by Prof. Dato’ Ir. Dr. Mohd Saleh bin Jaafar, Vice Chancellor and President of AIU, this morning at the Lecture Theatre 6.
In his address, Prof. Dato’ Ir. Dr. Mohd Saleh reminded students to be grateful for the opportunity to study at a fully sponsored university and to emulate the values and vision of AIU’s Founder. He encouraged them to embody the University’s 5A Core Values, observe the 8-Hour Rule, and actively participate in the 3ZERO Club as part of their holistic development.
He also urged students to engage meaningfully with their international peers, emphasizing that AIU offers a unique environment to learn from diverse cultures and perspectives.
The event was also attended by Prof. Dr. Hj. Mohamad Abdullah Bin Hemdi, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic); Mr. Abdul Shakur Bin Abdullah, Deputy Registrar and Director of the Centre for Corporate Planning and Communication (CPC); Madam Alia Hanim Binti Zainal Abidin, Director of the Centre for Foundation and General Studies (CFGS); Mr. Nidhoil Mohamed Ibrahim, Director of the Centre for Student Affairs and Alumni (CSAA); lecturers from CFGS; and teachers from the Language Centre.
UGREAT (University Undergraduate Acceleration Programme) is designed to help students transition smoothly into university life, academically, socially, and personally. The programme includes modules on English and Communication Skills, Mathematics, and Mental and Physical Wellbeing.
A collaborative effort between the Centre for Foundation and General Studies (CFGS), Language Centre (LC), and Centre for Student Affairs and Alumni (CSAA), UGREAT 2025 was led by Mohd Fadli Zakaria, Lecturer at CFGS.
