AIU student-athletes bring home 50KM champion tittle from I Ultra Marathon Perlis 2025
ALOR SETAR, 30 June 2025 – Albukhary International University (AIU) left a strong impression at the I Ultra Marathon Perlis 2025, where nearly 300 runners from across northern Malaysia came together for three days of challenging competition and camaraderie from 27 to 29 June.
AIU’s team of 10 student-athletes took on the challenge to test their limits, show resilience, and prove the strength of true teamwork.
Our team delivered standout performances; Stalin Zunguzira and Abdoulaye Bangoura clinched the champion title in the 50KM Male Relay. In the 15KM Male Category, Safer Ullah earned 3rd place while Ebrahim Al Habibi finished strong in 5th place. For the 15KM Female Category, Hnin Eaindra Htun emerged as champion, and Sebire Hakyar secured 6th place.
Beyond the medals, this marathon was about building resilience, embracing challenge, and learning from every stride.
