ALOR SETAR, 14 February 2024 – Albukhary International University (AIU) remains dedicated to fostering connections with potential collaborators, recently with new partners from Nigeria and Uzbekistan. An online session was held with Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS) from Nigeria on February 9, 2024, followed by another online meeting with the Banking and Finance Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan (BFA) on February 12, 2024.
The focus of the engagement was to discover potential partnerships, including initiatives related to student recruitment, research endeavours, and student mobility programs.
The Vice Chancellor and President of AIU, Emeritus Professor Dato’ Dr. Abd. Aziz Tajuddin, conveyed his aspiration that the collaboration would strengthen the university’s dedication to providing quality education to all deserving individuals, irrespective of their socioeconomic status.
“AIU is unique for several reasons. We deliver high-quality education, leveraging the expertise of educators with diverse backgrounds, and offer state-of-the-art facilities. Moreover, we create boundless opportunities for students to enhance their skills while also making meaningful contributions to both the community and the environment,” he added.
Meanwhile, both new partners expressed their optimism about collaborating with AIU to pave the path for a brighter and more equitable future, where talent transcends boundaries, and opportunities are accessible to all.
JIBWIS, a religious organization with a presence in several countries including Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Gabon, Ghana, Niger, Nigeria, and Togo, is keen on partnering with AIU to attract qualified candidates from various regions to study at the university. This initiative aligns with JIBWIS’s founding objectives, which prioritize education, financial sustainability, fundraising, governance, accountability, transparency, and community livelihoods.
On the other hand, BFA, a public higher education institution in Uzbekistan, is passionate about participating in joint research and publications and student mobility programmes, especially in the realms of social business and leadership.
