Albukhary International University Hosted SPM Students From Kolej Sultan Abdul Hamid (KSAH)

ALOR SETAR, 4 January 2024 – Albukhary International University (AIU) hosted Form 5 students from Kolej Sultan Abdul Hamid (KSAH) for a half-day SPM motivational talk held at the Auditorium Hall this morning.

The event was aimed at motivating the SPM students with success stories, personal journeys, and valuable insights of invited speakers amongst KSAH alumni, to prepare them mentally for their upcoming SPM examination which is scheduled to begin on 8 January 2024.

Among the invited speakers include Emeritus Professor Dato’ Dr. Abd. Aziz Tajuddin, Vice Chancellor and President of AIU, Professor TPr. Dr. Azizan Marzuki, Lecturer, School of Housing, Building and Planning USM, Mohd Nazri Noh, Special Officer to the Chief Minister of Selangor, and Mazri bin Mansor, President of Malaysian Wheelchair Consumer Association.

Emeritus Professor Dato’ Dr. Abd. Aziz highlighted that the University is committed to ensuring that bright and driven students from underprivileged backgrounds are given equal opportunity to pursue tertiary education at AIU, with the support of a full scholarship from the Albukhary Foundation.

He added that the University’s niche area is Social Business, where students are equipped with the knowledge to create jobs and help others in need. The students are also embedded with the 5As Core Values and the 8-Hour Rule to produce responsible individuals who contribute back to society, mirroring the founder of AIU, Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Albukhary.

He said that eligible SPM candidates from KSAH may apply for AIU’s Foundation Programs with the trial results. Upon successful SPM results, and with the offer of admission at AIU, the candidates will be called for an Intensive English Course to prepare them before the commencement of the program.

Meanwhile, the Principal of KSAH, Shamsulbadri Ishak said both AIU and KSAH share a commitment to inclusivity and providing educational opportunities to deserving individuals. Through this collaboration, both parties can make a meaningful impact on the lives of the young generations and provide them with the pathway to pursue higher education and achieve their career aspirations.

He also thanked AIU for hosting the event and hoped that this collaboration would continue in the future for the benefit of students.
