LET'S BUILD TOGETHER A 3ZERO WORLD

Zero Proverty , Zero Carbon Emission, Zero Unemployment

Zero Unemployment cluster as a part of Social Business Design Lab (SBDL) is focused on unleashing entrepreneurship among AIU students and staff. There are currently 36 academic and non-academic staff and 25 students with 5 clubs active in zero unemployment activities. Our activities focus more on enhancing and improving personal and technical skills, especially digital skills among our students.

The zero poverty is currently being spearheaded by 6 dedicated staff with assistance from a bigger cluster of 17 staff and around 20 students. Established with the primary goal to help alleviate poverty within the society, the team is currently working with more than 10 beneficiaries scattered across the district of Baling, Kedah. Collaborating with local authorities and Lembaga Zakat Negeri Kedah, zero poverty continuously strives to identify and assist more beneficiaries from time to time.

Zero Net Carbon Emission Cluster at AIU revolves around preserving and conserving the environment for the benefit of the community and the economy. The members of the cluster involve lecturers, staff and students that work together to organize programs and activities to spread awareness about environmental pollution and the negative impacts they can bring to our planet, society and economy. The programs and activities under Zero Net Carbon Emission Cluster are intended to encourage cultivation of green habits and practices in organizations and everyday life. Moreover, this will also induce intellectual curiosity and abilities of the members as well as the community involved to think critically and scientifically about environment preservation and conservation by being creative in creation and problem solving. In addition, this cluster is striving to encourage students and the community to be involved in green entrepreneurship and become job creators that benefit the society, the economy and the planet.
