
AIU Strengthens Community Engagement Through Kem Tunas Budiman 2025

ALOR SETAR, 31 December 2025 — Albukhary International University (AIU), through the School of Business and Social Sciences (SBSS), strengthened its commitment to community empowerment through the successful organisation of Kem Tunas Budiman 2025, a collaborative initiative with the Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA) Kedah.
The programme was jointly implemented by MRA Kedah and the SBSS EduEngage Team, led by Madam Noor Jannah Afi, together with Miss Siti Maizalaizzah Akma Adnan, Madam Aina Syafiqah Razali, Professor Dr. Salfarina Abdul Gapor, Madam Nurul Fatihah Zainudin, Miss Hla Theingi Win, and Madam Aliaa Diyana Zamri.
Held over four days and three nights at KEDA Resort, Sik, the programme engaged 10 SBSS student facilitators and benefited 90 participants from the Rohingya Community School, Project IQ (Yan District), and Project IQ (Sungai Petani District). The initiative focused on nurturing motivation, confidence, and essential life skills through structured educational and character-building activities.
The programme also featured a Training for Teachers session conducted by Mr. Ildefonso Halipa, Director of the Centre for Development and Academic Excellence, focusing on effective teaching strategies for slow learners.
This initiative reflects AIU’s continued commitment to community engagement, inclusive education, and sustainable social impact through meaningful partnerships and grassroots outreach.
