AIU Participates in Takbir Raya Recording Programme in Collaboration with GPMS Kuala Kedah

ALOR SETAR, 17 March 2026 – A programme titled “Takbir Raya Recording Programme with Gabungan Pelajar Melayu Semenanjung (GPMS) Kuala Kedah” was successfully held at Pusat Dakwah Alor Setar on 14 march 2026 in conjunction with the upcoming celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2026.

 

The initiative aimed to record the recitation of Takbir Raya, which will later be shared as part of the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration. The programme also served to strengthen unity, ukhuwah (brotherhood), and collaboration among students, educational institutions, and members of the local community.

Representing Albukhary International University, five international students participated in the recording programme, showcasing the university’s diverse and multicultural community. The students were:

Suleiman Abdallah (Tanzania)
Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu (Nigeria)
Shah Faisal (Pakistan)
Arafat Al-Ghurafi (Yemen)
Mahamadou Dit Bassaro Diaby (Mali)

Their participation highlighted AIU’s international presence and the spirit of inclusivity, where students from various countries come together to celebrate Islamic traditions and cultural values.

The Takbir Raya recording video will be shared once the production and editing process is completed, allowing the wider community to experience and appreciate the spirit of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

This initiative reflects the shared commitment of both AIU and GPMS Kuala Kedah to promote Islamic values, cultural traditions, and community engagement, particularly during the blessed month of Ramadan leading up to the celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
