AIU Empowers Blooming Futures at the Language Centre Annual Showcase & Awards 2025

ALOR SETAR, 30 October 2025 The Language Centre (LC) wrapped up the 2024/2025 academic session in spectacular fashion with its Annual Showcase and Academic Excellence Awards themed “Blooming Futures.” The three-day celebration marked the journey’s end for students who completed the Pre-University English Programme (PREP) and are now ready to begin their degree studies.

The festivities kicked off with an energetic Interclass Telematch and Cooking Competition, where students showcased teamwork, creativity, and multicultural spirit. The highlight came on 24 October with the Academic Excellence Awards and Gala Night, where students proudly received their Certificates of Completion and celebrated their achievements in style.

Graced by the AIU Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Dato’ Ir. Dr. Mohd Saleh Bin Jaafar, the event inspired students to strive for excellence with purpose and sincerity. The prestigious LC Icon 2025 Award was presented to Chin Kezia Layam from the Philippines for her outstanding academic and leadership accomplishments.

The Gala Night was a vibrant showcase of unity and creativity, featuring performances of music, dance, fashion, and spoken word, along with heartfelt tributes from students to their lecturers, a touching moment of gratitude and joy.

As the celebration ended, pride and excitement filled the air. With their “Blooming Futures” ahead, LC students now move forward, ready to shine in their degree journeys and beyond.
