AIU Inspires Young Leaders to Lead with Purpose and Integrity
ALOR SETAR, 28 October 2025 – Albukhary International University (AIU) Vice Chancellor and President, Prof. Dato’ Ir. Dr. Mohd Saleh bin Jaafar graced the Inspirational Leadership Talk as the Guest of Honour, held in conjunction with the Leadership Course for Bestari-Level Peer Counsellors at Puteri Palmera Glass Hall, Alor Setar, on 25 October 2025. His heartfelt sharing moved and inspired the young audience, leaving a lasting impact.
Prof. Saleh reflected on his humble beginnings in Kampung Kandang, Melaka, where he was the 13th of 19 siblings, and how hardship taught him discipline, sincerity, and gratitude. He reminded students that true success is built on hard work, integrity, and service to others. “Study not merely to obtain a degree, but to become a person of value, one who brings benefit to others,” he advised.
The event gathered over 144 students and 30 teachers from 72 boarding schools nationwide, creating an evening filled with wisdom and motivation. During their two-day stay at AIU, participants also explored the campus, learned about AIU’s academic programmes, and discovered its unique mission as a waqf-based institution dedicated to nurturing socially responsible global citizens.
