Held on 16 October at the AIU Library, the session brought together students from diverse backgrounds to reflect on the emotional, academic, and personal impact of the library in their lives.
The talk featured four student speakers: Rim Hasan Qaid Al-Morhi, Ummusalma Othman Adam, Madiha Safi, and Stalin Zunguzira, with Leroy Nyasha Mangwarara as the moderator. Each speaker shared heartfelt experiences of how the library has become more than just a place to study, but a meaningful space for peace, inspiration, and belonging.
A memorable quote from Stalin Zunguzira resonated deeply with the audience:
“We came to the library not just to borrow books, but also to borrow wisdom.”
The program highlighted the library’s role in supporting students through academic challenges, homesickness, and personal growth. Students also shared valuable suggestions to further improve the library experience, strengthening collaboration between users and staff.
Inspired by the global Human Library movement, CORPY TALK continues to foster empathy, understanding, and connection among AIU’s multicultural community. The series reflects AIU Library’s ongoing commitment to creating a supportive, inclusive, and student-centered environment.
