
EduEngage AIU–RCS Empowers Rohingya Youth Through Educational Workshop in Sungai Petani

ALOR SETAR, 15 October 2025 – EduEngage AIU–RCS has successfully conducted another impactful workshop with the Rohingya Community School (RCS) in Sungai Petani. This session forms part of the EduEngage team’s continuous intervention programmes aimed at empowering marginalized youth through education and personal development.
The workshop focused on three key themes: note-taking skills, the power of education and resilience, and a“Discover Your Strengths” session. These interactive and motivational sessions were delivered by Madam Noor Jannah Afi, the team leader of EduEngage AIU–RCS, and Miss Syuhada, who joined as a guest speaker. Together, they inspired students to recognize the value of learning, develop effective study habits, and build confidence in their personal potential.
The program concluded with a closing speech by Mr Abu Bakar Ngah, the Director of the Centre of Community and Industry Engagement (CCIE), who commended the students for their enthusiasm and perseverance. He also presented prizes to the students who demonstrated the best note-taking skills and outstanding participation throughout the sessions.
This initiative was organised by the EduEngage AIU–RCS team, comprising Noor Jannah Afi, Prof Dr Salfarina Abdul Gapor, Hla Theingi Win, Siti Maizalaizzah Akma Adnan, Aina Syafiqah Razali, Nurul Fatihah Zainudin, Aliaa Diyana Zamri, Amirul Syafiq Mohd Ghazali, Aiman Muqri Ahmad Syukri, and Afifi Nordin.
The programme exemplifies AIU’s ongoing commitment to community engagement, social inclusion, and educational empowerment, fostering hope and resilience among the Rohingya youth through meaningful learning experiences.
