ALOR SETAR, 18 June 2025 – Twenty newly elected members of Albukhary International University’s (AIU) Student Representative Council (SRC) took part in a three-day leadership camp from 4 to 6 June at Glam Camping Park in Gopeng, Perak, aimed at strengthening team bonds and building essential leadership skills.
Organised by the Centre for Student Affairs and Alumni (CSAA), the SRC Leadership 3.0 programme featured a mix of hands-on workshops and outdoor challenges designed to prepare the new council for their roles.
Indoor sessions focused on key leadership themes such as 𝘐𝘤𝘦 𝘉𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨, 5𝘈 𝘊𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘝𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘦𝘴, 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 and 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘛𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘞𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯 𝘌𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘢𝘭, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘞𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺: 𝘍𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘔𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘞𝘦. These sessions were tailored to enhance communication, teamwork, and critical thinking, preparing the SRC members to lead effectively within the university community.
To complement the classroom sessions, participants also took part in adventure-based activities including water abseiling, hiking, ATV rides, and white water rafting. These physically demanding tasks tested their endurance, built trust among teammates, and fostered a strong sense of unity.
The programme served as a valuable opportunity for student leaders to connect, reflect, and grow both personally and as a team. It further demonstrated AIU’s focus on shaping holistic, principled individuals equipped to lead in diverse environments beyond the campus.
