As an international student, you are required to obtain a valid student visa before enrolling to Albukhary International University. You should consider the following:

1. Pre-departure

Once you have accepted the offer, you are required to submit the related documents to our Admission Unit along with the proof of payment. For your information, we are not able to process your visa lodgement to EMGS without the proof of payment.

The International Student Unit will assist you to lodge your student visa to the EMGS portal. You will be notified through email, and you may also track the visa application progress through the EMGS application portal.

Upon your visa application status reaching 70%, the International Student Unit will notify you of the necessary and you will be added to the Telegram group for any update pertaining to student visa.

Important notes: There are certain countries that require a Single Entry Visa (SEV) prior to entering Malaysia. Please check this link here if your country is listed. In order to obtain the Single Entry Visa (SEV), you may visit the nearest Malaysian Embassy or apply for the eVisa online here.

You may proceed to purchase the flight ticket according to the given arrival date by our International Student Unit through the Telegram group. You are required to submit your flight ticket confirmation by filling out the arrival form provided. You should complete the form no later than 5 days prior to your flight date. You are also required to complete the MDAC before arriving in Malaysia two days prior to your arrival date. The form can be found here.

2. Arriving in Malaysia

Please ensure that you bring along all the documents in your hand-carry bag for easy access:

  • Passport
  • eVisa
  • Eval

Through the ISU Telegram group, please notify our ISU when you have arrived at the airport. Please do not attempt to pass through the immigration without any AIU representative. You may wait for the AIU representative in front of the EMGS ISAC Counter at the airport.

3. Post-arrival

Once you have arrived at the campus, you are required to perform a post-medical checkup at the EMGS panel clinic. The schedule for the medical check up will be shared with you through the Telegram group. You will then be notified of the Registration/Orientation Day. After completing the medical check up and registration, ISU will assist you in finalising your Student Pass with EMGS and Immigration Department.

Please notify the ISU department immediately as all the communication from ISU will be using Telegram. ISU will not be responsible for any consequences resulting from your failure to stay informed about updates posted on Telegram.
