Teaching Excellence Awards 2023: AIU Celebrates Outstanding Educators at Annual Dinner

ALOR SETAR, 8 March 2024 – Albukhary International University (AIU) Annual Dinner 2023 held on March 4th, 2024, became the stage for the prestigious Teaching Excellence Awards 2023, recognizing educators who have shown exceptional dedication to teaching and learning. The event, held at the Convocation Hall, marked a significant milestone in acknowledging the academic prowess of outstanding faculty.
The evening, graced by esteemed judges including Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Datuk Ts. Dr. Mohd Razali Muhamad, Registrar, Madam Norpisah Mat Isa, and Professor Nor Hashimah Hashim from the School of Education and Human Sciences (SEHS), revealed Mr. Mohamad Mokhlis Ahmad Fuad as the inaugural winner.
Out of the 12 nominations submitted by students, the committee meticulously selected five qualified candidates. Following a thorough review of portfolios, assessment of essays, and personal interviews, four finalists emerged: Mr. Osaid N.A. Abdaljawwad, Madam Nurul Hamidah Mohd Hamdi, Ms. Nur Faridatul Jamalia Radzali and Mr. Mohamad Mokhlis Ahmad Fuad.
Datuk Ts. Dr. Mohd Razali and Madam Norpisah presented awards to the finalists, acknowledging their significant contributions. The pinnacle moment arrived when Vice Chancellor Emeritus Professor Dato’ Dr. Abd. Aziz Tajuddin stepped onto the stage to confer the Teaching Excellence Award 2023 upon Mohamad Mokhlis Ahmad Fuad. The winner stood out for his dedication, innovative teaching methods, and commitment to student success.
The Teaching Excellence Awards 2023 not only honoured Mr. Mokhlis’ accomplishment but also showcased the collaborative ethos of excellence within AIU’s academic fraternity. The Annual Dinner provided a fitting setting for this remarkable celebration of teaching brilliance.
