Kolej Yayasan Pelajaran Johor Engages With AIU for Mutual Academic Collaboration

ALOR SETAR, 28 February 2024 – Yesterday, a delegation from Kolej Yayasan Pelajaran Johor (KYPJ) embarked on a visit to Albukhary International University (AIU), to explore potential educational collaboration.
The delegation, headed by Mr. Husaini Mohklas @ Hashim, the General Manager of Yayasan Pelajaran Johor Education Group (KPYPJ) was greeted by Emeritus Professor Dato’ Dr. Abd. Aziz Tajuddin, the Vice Chancellor and President of AIU, along with the university’s key management team.
Throughout the presentation, Emeritus Professor Dato’ Dr. Abd. Aziz highlighted the unique characteristics of AIU as a private non-profit higher education institution, despite its relatively young inception.
“AIU offers merit-based scholarships to outstanding students from disadvantaged backgrounds who demonstrate exceptional academic performance, leadership potential, and extracurricular involvement. By awarding scholarships, we ensure that deserving students have access to high-quality education without financial barriers. This is the institution’s belief in equal access and opportunities for all individuals to pursue their educational aspirations,” he commented.
He continued, expressing, “We are keen to initiate collaborative initiatives between AIU and KYPJ. Thus, we are delighted to offer enrolment opportunities to eligible alumni from KYPJ to pursue their academic aspirations starting from the October Intake 2024.”
Mr. Husaini noted that KYPJ and AIU both align in their commitment to prioritizing education for deserving students. He expressed, “I believe we have mutual goals, and our purpose here is to extend partnership with AIU, aiming for a commonly beneficial partnership. In addition to offering opportunities to our alumni, we are eager to understand AIU’s approach to recruiting international students. With AIU’s expertise, we can begin devising strategies to increase the enrolment of international students at KYPJ.”
Reflecting on this, Madam Hajah Haslinda Abu Bakar, the Chief Executive of KYPJ emphasized the institution’s track record of producing well-rounded Diploma graduates who received broad recognition and acceptance from both industries and universities. She commented, “We hope to have our first group of alumni from Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Diploma in Accountancy commence their studies at AIU starting from the October 2024 intake.”
The delegation wrapped up their visit with a tour of the campus, including a visit to the Simulation Room for the Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (Honours) programme at AIU International School.
Present from AIU were Datuk Ts. Dr. Mohd Razali Muhamad, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Madam Norpisah Mat Isa, the Registrar, the Deans, and other members of the top management team. Meanwhile, in attendance from KYPJ was Madam Norazlina Mohsin @ Mohsen, the Director of Governance and Quality Management.
