The two-day event was graced by the presence of 140 boarding school students, with the primary objective of fostering academic excellence and personal development among the attending students.
This programme is designed to smoothly transition boarding school students into the university setting, enabling them to delve into AIU programmes and explore opportunities for pursuing higher education.
The School Counsellor from Sekolah Berasrama Penuh Integrasi Kubang Pasu, Muhammad Jayyid Jamaluddin said, “This initiative addresses important aspects of student life, including motivation and academic support, self-development, and leadership qualities.”
The exposure that they get will shape their mindsets and empower them to excel in their academic pursuits, he added.
In the meantime, Muhammad Danish Aiman Abdul Azim, a form-four student at Sekolah Menengah Sains Pokok Sena, expressed, “I find inspiration in AIU’s philosophy, which aims to offer scholarships to talented individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds, facilitating their pursuit of higher education in a real international setting. He further added, “The sessions organized were highly beneficial for me, and I aspire to perform even better in my SPM exams this year.”
AIU seized the chance to discuss admission procedures, scholarship opportunities, Social Business, and 3Zero Clubs. An interactive sharing session was also arranged, allowing AIU students to engage with all participants. Furthermore, the liaison school counsellors were exposed to opportunities in diverse programmes offered by the University, including AIU Open Day.
