Albukhary International University, led by the Student Representative Council, hosted guests from the Youth Care Malaysia (YCM) organisation for the YCM Projek Rahmat event. The project, held throughout the month of Ramadan, aspires to promote volunteerism and create environmental awareness amongst the youth. This month-long project spans across Peninsular Malaysia, involving the youths of various universities.

The event started off with a community clean-up at Surau Ibrahimiah, Kampung Burhan, and the surrounding neighbourhood. The clean-up involved representatives from YCM and 30 AIU students from various countries. The team gathered over ten bags of trash and helped with the community garden by the Surau. They then headed back to the AIU Student Centre where a sharing session was held. Each member of the team shared their takeaways from the event. The collective iftar and prayer marked the end of the event.
