
AIU Orators Club Organises “Stand, Speak, Lead” Multilingual Public Speaking Workshop

ALOR SETAR, 23 February 2026 – AIU Orators Club successfully organised a two-day multilingual public speaking workshop titled “Stand, Speak, Lead” at the LC Complex on 31 January and 1 February 2026, in collaboration with the Arab Students Association (ARSA) and the Malaysian Students Association (MaSAA).
Conducted in Arabic, Malay, and English, the workshop reflected AIU’s diverse and inclusive learning environment. A total of 81 participants joined the programme, comprising 18 participants in the Arabic session, 16 in Malay, and 47 in English.
The Arabic session was facilitated by Mr. Osaid N. A. Abdaljawwad, Lecturer from the School of Business and Social Sciences and Advisor of AlQisc, while the Malay and English sessions were conducted by Madam Nurul Hamidah Mohd Hamdi from the AIU Language Centre and Advisor of the AIU Orators Club.
The workshop focused on building confidence, structuring effective speeches, enhancing vocal delivery, and strengthening audience engagement skills. Through interactive activities and practical speaking exercises, participants were able to apply techniques immediately in a supportive learning setting.
The initiative reflects AIU Orators Club’s continued commitment to empowering students in communication and leadership development while promoting inclusivity and multilingual excellence within the university community.
