AIU Empowers Postgraduate Students through Proposal Defence Preparation Workshop

ALOR SETAR, 28 January 2026 – The Postgraduate Unit, Albukhary International University (AIU) successfully conducted its 2nd Postgraduate Research Workshop Series 2 titled “Preparing for Your Proposal Defence (PD)” on 26 January 2026.

The workshop was designed to equip postgraduate students with essential knowledge and practical strategies to confidently prepare for their proposal defence, a key milestone in their research journey. The session provided guidance on structuring proposals, addressing examiners’ expectations, and presenting research ideas clearly and convincingly.

The workshop was led by Associate Professor Dr. Norizan Azizan, whose insightful sharing and academic expertise offered valuable perspectives on common challenges faced by postgraduate researchers, as well as best practices for effective preparation and presentation.

Through this initiative, AIU reaffirmed its commitment to supporting postgraduate students by strengthening research readiness, academic confidence, and scholarly excellence in line with the University’s vision for quality postgraduate education.
