AIU Champions Practical Language Learning through English Discovery Day

ALOR SETAR, 28 January 2026 – The AIU Language Centre (LC), Albukhary International University (AIU) successfully hosted a one-day English Discovery Programme on 23 January 2026, welcoming 31 students and four teachers from Yala Rajabhat University (YRU) Demonstration School, Thailand. The delegation was accompanied by their Principal and Vice Principal as part of the school’s educational visit to Malaysia and Singapore.


This meaningful initiative was jointly organised by the AIU Language Centre and Times Language Academy, Yala, co-founded by AIU alumnus Muhammadfandee Tahe, reflecting AIU’s strong commitment to cross-border knowledge sharing, alumni engagement, and educational collaboration.

Designed to promote active language use, the programme featured interactive games, collaborative tasks, and communication-based challenges that emphasised confidence-building, spoken interaction, and real-world English usage in a fun and supportive learning environment. A total of 20 AIU Language Centre students were selected as facilitators, embodying AIU’s philosophy of learning through contribution while gaining hands-on experience as peer mentors and language ambassadors.

Beyond language development, the programme fostered meaningful multicultural exchange, enabling students from different backgrounds to connect, collaborate, and form new friendships. The English Discovery Programme further strengthened AIU’s position as a hub for innovative and experiential language education, extending its impact regionally while nurturing future educators and community contributors.
