AIU Coordinates EMGS Briefing and Training for International Student Management

ALOR SETAR, 23 January 2026 – The International Student Support Unit (ISSU), Albukhary International University (AIU), successfully coordinated a two-day EMGS Briefing and Training Programme conducted by Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), from 22 until 23 January 2026, aimed at strengthening institutional understanding of international student management and regulatory compliance.

On the first day, the programme engaged representatives from northern-region higher education institutions, including UniSHAMS, UniSIRAJ, and UMAM, alongside AIU administrative staff, to discuss EMGS policies and compliance requirements.

The second day focused on internal engagement, bringing together AIU staff from key departments to address operational challenges, share best practices, and enhance institutional practices in international student administration.

EMGS representatives delivered briefings on visa procedures, approvals, and compliance updates, followed by interactive discussions to ensure clearer understanding and smoother implementation across the institution.
