AIU Students Join National Student Leaders Solidarity Camp 2025

ALOR SETAR, 19 January 2026 – Students from Albukhary International University (AIU) participated in the Student Leaders Solidarity Camp 2025, a national-level leadership programme held from 16 to 19 December 2025 at Rumah Kebudayaan Koisaan Cultural Village, Penampang, Sabah.

The four-day, three-night programme gathered approximately 150 to 200 student leaders from higher education institutions across Malaysia. The camp was officiated by Hirman bin Awang, Pengarah Bahagian Hal Ehwal Pelajar, Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi (KPT), underscoring the importance of student leadership development and national unity.

The programme focused on leadership engagement with the Murut community, promoting cooperation, tolerance, and goodwill through community-based activities and cultural exchange. Participants gained meaningful exposure to the traditions, culture, and way of life of the Murut longhouse community, strengthening cultural awareness and social responsibility.

AIU’s participation reflects the University’s continued commitment to nurturing socially responsible, culturally aware, and community-driven student leaders who contribute meaningfully to nation-building.
