
AIU Cultural Week 2025 Unites Campus in a Celebration of Diversity

ALOR SETAR, 15 January 2026 – Albukhary International University (AIU) successfully concluded AIU Cultural Week 2025, held from 30 December 2025 to 11 January 2026, celebrating cultural diversity, creativity, and unity within the AIU community.
The multi-day festival featured Cultural Homeland Exhibitions, New Year Gala Night, and a series of competitions including Cultural Singing, Cooking, Painting, Sports, and Dancing, providing students with vibrant platforms for cultural expression and intercultural learning.
The highlight was the AIU Cultural Week Grand Closing Ceremony 2025, officiated by the Vice Chancellor of Albukhary International University, with the presence of the Deputy Vice Chancellor and the Registrar. The ceremony was further honoured by distinguished guests including Puan Shafina Binti Adnan representing Kementerian Pelancongan, Seni dan Budaya Malaysia (MOTAC) Kedah, Encik Mohamad Helmi Harith (Altel Group Sdn Bhd), Encik Mohammad Safwan Bin Solleh (Anak Bukit Hall & ASN Trading), Encik Afizudin Bin Dato’ Paduka Hj Mohd Saad (Majlis Bandaraya Alor Setar), Puan Nik Nazlin Nik Mohammed Yusoff (UUM International School), Syed Hafizal Bin Syed Hassan (Universiti Utara Malaysia), and Dr. Ndolembai Sade Njesada, Former Minister of Education of Chad.
The Cultural Dancing Competition Finale featured performances by students from Nigeria, India, Indonesia, Zimbabwe, Myanmar, and Malaysia, with judging by Encik Syed Yusry Syed Isa, Puan Nor Samihah Nordin, and Encik Mohamad Ihsan Danial Mohamad Shamsul Nizam.

Champion: Indonesia
Second Runner-Up: Malaysia
Third Runner-Up: Zimbabwe
