ALOR SETAR, 15 December 2025 – The School of Computing and Informatics (SCI), Albukhary International University (AIU), held the launching ceremony of two new 3ZERO clubs, Khit Ta and Programmatrix, marking a meaningful step in empowering students to lead social innovation and community-focused initiatives.
The ceremony was attended by Associate Professor Dr. Basheer Riskhan, Dean of SCI, and Professor Dr. Khalid Hussain, and guided by the clubs’ advisor, Madam Nadiah Arsat. In his address, Dr. Basheer emphasised that the 3ZERO clubs should remain active beyond campus and take the lead in community service, encouraging students to apply their knowledge in technology, education, and social development for societal benefit.
Both clubs presented their upcoming initiatives aligned with AIU’s 3ZERO values. Planned activities include digital literacy workshops for students, senior citizens, and community groups, a “Coding for Kids” programme to introduce basic programming in an engaging way, and a Project-Based Learning preparation workshop to strengthen teamwork, project management, research, and presentation skills among SCI students. A Math Mastery Programme is also being developed to support SCI and Foundation students in essential mathematical competencies.
The ceremony concluded on an optimistic note, with both clubs reaffirming their commitment to impactful community engagement and active student leadership.
