AIU Achieves Major Milestone with Successful ISO 21001:2018 Stage 2 Audit

ALOR SETAR, 15 December 2025 – Albukhary International University (AIU) has successfully completed the Stage 2 audit for ISO 21001:2018 Educational Organizations Management System (EOMS), marking a significant milestone in strengthening its quality assurance framework. The audit was conducted by Mr. Saravanan from Bureau Veritas in two phases, Phase 1 on 27–28 November 2025 and Phase 2 on 8–9 December 2025, and was coordinated by the Centre for Quality Assurance and Accreditation (CQAA).

The audit commenced with a welcoming address by AIU Vice Chancellor and President, Professor Dato’ Ir. Dr. Mohd Saleh Bin Jaafar, who highlighted the importance of ISO 21001:2018 in reinforcing AIU’s commitment to continuous improvement, quality culture, and excellence across academic and administrative operations.

Covering the scope of design, development, and delivery of tertiary education programmes as well as academic support services, the audit concluded with positive outcomes, including identified system strengths, positive comments, and opportunities for improvement. While a small number of minor non-conformities and areas of concern were noted, these findings provide clear direction for further enhancement and system strengthening.

The successful completion of the Stage 2 audit reflects AIU’s strong leadership, coordinated teamwork, and dedication to delivering high-quality education and support services. The certification further supports AIU’s quality culture, contributes to SETARA evaluation points, and enhances operational effectiveness across the university.
