AIU Enhances Staff Skills Through Protocol and Ceremony Training Session

ALOR SETAR, 28 November 2025 – The Albukhary International University (AIU) successfully conducted a training session titled “Enhancing Protocol Excellence for Official Ceremonies” on 25 November 2025 at the Senate Room, AIU. The session was facilitated by Encik Hanan bin Mohammed Hatta from the District and Land Office of Kota Setar, who brings extensive experience in protocol management, including previous service with the Ceremonial and Event Management Division, Office of the State Secretary of Kedah.

A total of 50 AIU administrative staff, who also serve as committee members for the upcoming AIU 6th Convocation Ceremony, participated in the training. Organised by the Protocol Unit of the Convocation Committee, the initiative aimed to strengthen staff competencies in managing official ceremonies in line with proper protocol standards.

The four-hour session offered comprehensive insights into essential areas of protocol management, including formal etiquette, VIP handling, liaison duties, seating arrangements, official salutations, attire guidelines, guest reception, and overall ceremonial procedures.

The session was highly engaging, with active involvement from all attendees. This initiative reflects AIU’s commitment to enhancing staff capabilities and ensuring that all official ceremonies are executed with excellence, professionalism, and decorum.
