AIU Celebrates Academic Excellence at the Distinction Award Ceremony 2025
ALOR SETAR, 4 November 2025 – The Distinction Award Ceremony, held on 29 October 2025, celebrated the outstanding academic achievements of Foundation students at Albukhary International University (AIU).
The event honored 45 students from the Foundation in Computing and Foundation in Arts programmes who achieved a GPA of 3.50 and above in Semester 3, 2024–2025. Among them, 12 students proudly earned a perfect GPA of 4.00. In total, 93 students successfully completed three challenging semesters of Foundation studies this year.
The ceremony was graced by AIU Vice Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Ir. Dr. Mohd Saleh Bin Jaafar, Dean of the School of Computing and Informatics, Associate Professor Dr. Basheer Riskhan, and Director of the Centre for Foundation and General Studies, Alia Hanim Zainal Abidin, alongside dedicated faculty members. Their presence made the occasion even more meaningful, recognizing the perseverance and commitment of the students.
In addition to academic honors, students received awards for Best Subject Achievements, Special Awards, and the prestigious Director’s Award, presented to those who demonstrated exceptional leadership, creativity, and innovation.
