ALOR SETAR, 30 October 2025 – Albukhary International University (AIU) continues to prioritise the well-being of its community through the AIU Fit4Lyfe 2025 Medical Talk Series: Health Education, held on 24 October 2025 at Lecture Theatre 6.
The session featured two insightful talks led by experienced medical specialists, focusing on preventive care and early health awareness.
The first session, “Awareness on Cancer: Early Detection Saves Lives,” was delivered by Dr. Nor Liana Nisa Othman, O&G Consultant at Kedah Medical Centre, who discussed the importance of early detection, self-awareness, and proactive health management.
This was followed by “Healthy Eyes, Healthy Vision,” presented by Dato’ Dr. Abdul Razak bin K.V. Koya Kutty, COO and Ophthalmologist at Pusat Pakar Mata dan Lasik Utara. He shared practical tips on maintaining good eye health, preventing strain, and identifying early symptoms of common vision problems.
To complement the session, participants also benefited from a free eye check, allowing staff to take a proactive step toward better health and preventive care.
Through initiatives like this, AIU continues to foster a culture of wellness, awareness, and continuous learning among its staff community.
