
AIU Delegates Join “Echoes of Heritage” Cultural Night at AIMST University

ALOR SETAR, 16 October 2025 – A delegation of 22 representatives from Albukhary International University (AIU) participated in the “Echoes of Heritage” Cultural Night hosted by AIMST University. The delegation comprised members of the AIU Student Representative Council (SRC), as well as representative performers from the Persatuan Pelajar Indonesia (PPI) and the AIU Myanmar Students’ Association (AMSA).
During the opening ceremony, the President of the AIU-SRC, Nyan Phone Zaw @ Faiz, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of cultural exchange in fostering understanding and unity among students. He also joined the official opening ceremony of the event.
As a gesture of appreciation, the Vice-Chancellor of AIMST University, Prof. CHM Dr. Kathiresan V. Sathasivam, presented a token of appreciation to the AIU SRC. The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, and Bursar of AIMST University were also in attendance.
Adding vibrancy to the night, AIU’s representative performers from PPI and AMSA captivated the audience with their traditional performances — the “Tari Tambang Petaka” performance and the “Shan Thingyan” performance
The participation of AIU delegates in this event reflects the university’s continued commitment to promoting cultural harmony, student leadership, and meaningful engagement with institutions across Malaysia.
The AIU SRC extends its heartfelt appreciation to the event organizers, the AIMST Student Council, and AIMST University for their warm hospitality and outstanding efforts in making the event a memorable success.
