ALOR SETAR, 8 October 2025 – The AIU Myanmar Students’ Association (AMSA) turned the Albukhary International University Auditorium into a celebration of colour, rhythm, and storytelling for Mystery of Burma Night 2025, an evening that brought Myanmar’s culture, creativity, and community spirit to life.
The night began with words of warmth and inspiration from Chit Ko Ko, President of AMSA, joined by Madam Norpisah binti Mat Isa, AIU Registrar, who reflected on the beauty of Myanmar (formerly known as Burma); and Ms. Hla Theingi Win, AMSA Advisor, who celebrated the students’ enthusiasm and the rich cultural spirit at AIU.
The evening of 19 September 2025 took the audience on a journey through Myanmar’s past and present. Traditional performances set the tone early on a moving stage play, graceful dances like the iconic Shan Dance, and heartfelt songs that echoed Myanmar’s timeless spirit. As the programme continued, the spotlight turned to the creativity of Myanmar’s youth, with multimedia showcases featuring the HOPE Project, where Myanmar students have volunteered in free education initiatives for the past two years and inspiring interviews highlighting their achievements in 2025.
The celebration also reached beyond borders, with AIU’s international community joining in the fun. Performers from the Persatuan Pelajar Indonesia (PPI) and the Nigerian Student Community (NISCO) lit up the stage, while a surprise act by AMSA members kept the crowd cheering and smiling throughout the night.
The evening wrapped up with a burst of energy from a lively K-pop performance to a spirited final group dance that had everyone on their feet. It all ended with laughter and a joyful group photo that perfectly captured the warmth, unity, and friendship shared across the AIU community.
