ALOR SETAR, 25 September 2025 – Albukhary International University (AIU) has successfully completed its fourth and final Full Accreditation (FA) Audit Visit for 2025, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s quality assurance initiatives. This comprehensive evaluation for the Bachelor of Finance (Islamic Finance) (Honours) (MQA/FA13898) programme was conducted by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) on 22–23 September 2025.
The two-day evaluation was facilitated by a distinguished panel of MQA-appointed assessors: Associate Professor Dr. ’Ismah Osman (UiTM), Associate Professor Dr. Haji Mohd Farihal bin Osman (Universiti Utara Malaysia), and Madam Noor Hazirah binti Mohamed Yunus (MQA).
The audit encompassed structured interviews with key academic personnel, including the Head of Programme, Mr. Mohamad Mokhlis Ahmad Fuad, selected academic staff, students of the programme, and representatives from the Student Representative Council (SRC).
A significant component of the audit involved an extensive campus tour showcasing AIU’s pedagogical infrastructure, including specialised facilities such as computer laboratories, instructional spaces, secure storage facilities, and the university library.
Throughout the evaluation, the assessment panel provided constructive feedback, identifying areas for enhancement while acknowledging overall satisfaction with the programme’s academic quality and delivery standards. The formal announcement regarding the audit outcome will be communicated following deliberations at the forthcoming Majlis Jawatankuasa Akreditasi (MJA) meeting, scheduled for October 2025.
AIU’s successful completion of this accreditation process reinforces its unwavering commitment to maintaining academic excellence and ensuring that all programmes meet stringent quality standards in line with both national regulatory frameworks and international best practices in higher education.
The Centre for Quality Assurance and Accreditation extends its profound appreciation to all stakeholders for their exemplary cooperation and professionalism throughout this rigorous assessment process.
