Strengthening Digital Competencies Through AIU–SIRIM Collaboration

ALOR SETAR, 19 September 2025 – At Albukhary International University (AIU), we believe in creating pathways that enable our students and staff to thrive in an increasingly digital world. By working hand-in-hand with industry leaders, we aim to open doors to professional opportunities that go beyond the classroom.

This week, the Centre for Quality Assurance and Accreditation (CQAA) was pleased to welcome Puan Murniyati Bt. Sareh Zainol Abidin and Intan Mariam Binti Walad from SIRIM Academy, who introduced opportunities for AIU’s Bumiputera staff and students with an IT background to pursue internationally recognised certifications in cloud computing and cybersecurity.

The initiative, supported by Yayasan Peneraju, reflects a shared vision of strengthening digital competencies, enhancing employability, and nurturing future-ready graduates.

Discussions during the visit also explored potential collaborations that align SIRIM Academy’s impactful initiatives with AIU’s academic, digital transformation, and community engagement programmes. This meeting marks the beginning of a meaningful partnership between the two institutions.

Representing AIU’s CQAA were Noorasyikin Mohd Noh (Director of CQAA) and Dr. Mohamad Kamal Dasuki, who reaffirmed the university’s commitment to partnerships that advance student and staff capabilities.

Just as technology continues to connect people and possibilities, AIU and SIRIM Academy see the value of moving forward together — combining knowledge, innovation, and action to create lasting impact.
