
AIU partnerships fuel Guinea’s Simandou 2040 Vision

ALOR SETAR, 3 September 2025 – The Embassy of the Republic of Guinea in Kuala Lumpur, on 29 August 2025, hosted a meeting with Albukhary International University (AIU), headed by H.E. Mr. Ismael Nabe, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation of the Republic of Guinea.
The session focused on strengthening cooperation between Guinea and AIU in key areas of mutual interest. Central to the discussions were initiatives in education, particularly scholarships and university-level partnerships, as well as opportunities in training and the Simandou 2040 transformation agenda.
Both parties acknowledged their interest in pursuing practical avenues of collaboration aimed at generating mutual benefit and sustainable growth.
Representing AIU at the meeting were Prof. Dr. Hj. Mohamad Abdullah Bin Hemdi, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic); Prof. Dr. Abdul Malek Bin Abdul Karim, Dean, School of Education and Human Sciences; and Mr. Abdul Shakur bin Abdullah, Deputy Registrar and Director, Centre for Corporate Planning and Communication.
The Guinean delegation included H.E. Koumba Diop, Ambassador of Guinea to Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam, and Mr. Oumar Conde, Deputy Head of Mission and First Counsellor of the Embassy, along with senior representatives from the Presidency, the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, the Technical Cooperation Agency, and the private sector.
