AIU Participates in MASISWA Phase 2 Tournament at UNITEN

ALOR SETAR, 30 July 2025 – Albukhary International University (AIU) participated in the MASISWA Phase 2 Games 2025, hosted by Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) and held at Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Bangi. The event brought together student-athletes from 24 private higher education institutions across Malaysia in a vibrant display of sportsmanship and competitive spirit.

 

Represented by 42 student-athletes, AIU competed in netball, men’s volleyball, and women’s volleyball. The netball team progressed to the quarterfinals, placing among the top eight out of 19 teams. Both volleyball teams, despite exiting during the group stage, delivered strong performances in closely contested matches, particularly commendable as it marked their first appearance on the inter-varsity stage.

 

Beyond the scores, AIU students gained valuable experience in teamwork, strategic thinking, resilience under pressure, and cross-cultural engagement.
