SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF MQA VIRTUAL AUDIT FOR FOUNDATION IN ARTS PROGRAMME (MQA/FA 16210)

Alor Setar, 28 July 2025 – Albukhary International University (AIU) has successfully completed the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) Virtual Audit (MQAVA) for its Foundation in Arts (MQA/FA 16210) programme, held on 14 and 15 July 2025 via Zoom online platform.

 

The two-day audit involved a comprehensive evaluation process conducted virtually by MQA’s appointed panel of assessors. The audit included multiple key sessions, such as interviews with the Head of Programme, selected academic and administrative staff, students enrolled in the programme, as well as representatives from the Student Representative Council (SRC) and the Centre for Quality Assurance and Accreditation (CQAA).

 

One of the highlights of the virtual audit was the facilities tour, which was conducted through live streaming. The panel was given a real-time walkthrough of the computer laboratory, classrooms, strong room, and the university library, providing a close-up view of the physical resources supporting the programme.

 

Following the conclusion of the audit, MQA expressed satisfaction with the university’s overall compliance with the MQA quality assurance standards. The panel noted that Areas 2 to 7 were found to be satisfactory with no major issues raised. Only Area 1, which typically relates to governance and programme management, received comments for further enhancement — a positive indicator of the university’s ongoing commitment to continuous improvement.
