ALOR SETAR, 28 July 2025 β Albukhary International University (AIU) has taken a significant step toward enhancing data capability among its staff through a focused three-day workshop on βππ’π΅π’ ππ―π’ππΊπ΄πͺπ΄ π§π°π³ ππ¦π’π€π©πͺπ―π¨ π’π―π₯ ππ’π΅π’-ππ³πͺπ·π¦π― ππ¦π€πͺπ΄πͺπ°π― ππ’π¬πͺπ―π¨ ππ΄πͺπ―π¨ ππΉπ€π¦π π’π―π₯ ππ°πΈπ¦π³ ππ,β conducted from 23 to 25 July 2025.
Organised by the Centre for Development of Academic Excellence (CDAE), the programme brought together academic and administrative personnel from across the university for an intensive, application-based training held at the Wakaf Computer Lab.
The sessions were led by Dr. Noor Farizah Ibrahim and Dr. Noratikah Nordin of Universiti Sains Malaysia, along with Prof. Dr. Zurinahni Zainol from AIU. Drawing on their expertise in data analytics and educational management, the facilitators introduced participants to structured approaches in handling institutional data through Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
Rather than a theoretical overview, the workshop emphasised real-time problem solving using data sets reflective of operational and academic environments. Topics ranged from foundational data management techniques to advanced dashboard visualisation, with an emphasis on aligning data analysis with institutional outcomes.
The initiative supports AIUβs broader aim of embedding evidence-informed practices across its operations and academic planning.
Participants welcomed the initiative as timely and practical, citing the direct relevance of the tools introduced to their daily decision-making processes.
