
AIU’s Green Credit System monitors waste behaviours, boosts 3ZERO Club participation

ALOR SETAR, 4 July 2025 – Albukhary International University (AIU) student representative, Arezo Jafari, proudly presented the university’s latest pilot initiative, the Green Credit System, at the 2025 3ZERO Club Convention held on 30 June in conjunction with the 15th Social Business Day in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
She captured the audience’s attention with her presentation of the initiative, which is designed to track waste-related behaviours and incentivise participation in AIU’s 3ZERO Club activities.
The Green Credit System is part of AIU’s Zero Waste Lifestyle Leaders Project, supported by a Social Innovation Grant of RM49,596.76 awarded by the university’s Centre of Excellence for Socio-economic Development and Innovation (ACE-SEDI).
The project is led by Madam Aliaa Diyana Zamri as Principal Researcher, with Associate Professor Dr. Suraya Hanim Mokhtar, Mr. Aiman Muqri Ahmad Shukri, and Madam Nurul Huda Hassan Bakri as co-researchers.
The Green Credit team is headed by Arezo Jafari, alongside team members Ayman Abdulsalam Mohammed Hussein Al Sinan and Farhana Akter.
The 3ZERO Club Convention is held annually, gathering student leaders involved in 3ZERO initiatives from around the world. This year’s event was hosted by North South University in Bangladesh.
