
AIU Strengthens Graduate Employability at MOHE National Career Fair 2025

ALOR SETAR 20 June 2025 — The MOHE National Career Fair 2025 was held on 14–15 June 2025 at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur, bringing together universities, employers, and career development platforms to support graduate employability. Albukhary International University (AIU) participated in the event, led by the Centre for Student Affairs and Alumni (CSAA).
A total of 15 representatives attended from AIU, including 6 staff members (1 from each academic school and 3 CSAA officers) and 9 students, comprising 3 Academic Exco members from the Student Representative Council (SRC) and student representatives nominated by the schools.
During the first day, delegates explored the booths and spoke to various employers to gather information on job opportunities, industry requirements, and internship placements. On the second day, students participated in a Resume Clinic where they received personalised feedback, and later joined a Mentor Session for career guidance and motivation. They also attended career talks and networking activities, which provided a better understanding of current employment trends.
One of the key highlights of the visit was the meeting between the AIU delegation and Mr. Fadil Abd Rahim, Director of Graduate Employability and Government Affairs at Talentbank. The discussion focused on exploring potential collaboration initiatives between AIU and Talentbank,The meeting resulted in a positive mutual interest to explore further collaboration, with both parties agreeing to initiate more in-depth discussions in the near future to identify possible strategies aligned with AIU’s student development and graduate employability initiatives.
Additionally, the AIU delegation received valuable feedback from several companies where AIU alumni are currently working.
Overall, the event was beneficial for both staff and students. Students gained exposure to real-world career expectations and improved their confidence and readiness, while staff identified opportunities for strategic partnerships and enhancement of AIU’s career support efforts.
